It’s already sharply dropped from it’s sudden peak to a current rate of 1,400 reports.
“A fix has been implemented and we are monitoring the results.”
We don’t know how long it will take for that fix to get going.
A new screen, not even the cutesy Reddit error page that sometimes pops up.
It may be Reddit resetting a bit.

Whatever was bugging X seems to be done with.
We were even able to see theReddit Status accountupdates about the Reddit outage.
MLB.TV down on Opening Day!
A reader reached out to let us know that MLB.TV also seems to be having issues.
We are seeing a number of reports on Down Detector for MLB TV, currently around 12,000.
We were investigating what services underlie X and Reddit (both use AWS).
We don’t know yet if MLB.TV runs on a similar service.
As oneBluesky userwrote, “imagine a baseball season where the mlb app is actually functional.”
The accountAwful Announcingon Bluesky posted that their screens are showing a “web connection Error.”
The reports have steeply dropped on Down Detector as well.
That incident was resolved in about two hours.

Reports on Down Detector seem to be going down as well.
Tom’s Guide reached out to the MLB for comment but have not yet received a response.
Could it be AWS related?
For US customers it costs $149.99 per season or $29.99 to dive into the MLB feeds.
Tom’s Guide reached out to Amazon and MLB for comment on the outage.
What caused the outage remains unclear.
Tom’s Guide will continue to monitor the trio of services and will update if anything changes.
Reddit responds
A Reddit spokesperson reached out to us late on Thursday afternoon, pacific time.
It was not elaborated what the bug was or what the fix entailed.
AWS responds
An Amazon Web Services spokesperson responded to our inquiries.
“All AWS services operated as normal today.
The outage that hit X on March 27, last for about an forty-five minutes to an hour.
Today’s outage seems about the same.
Reports started picking up around 11:30 a.m. Pacific peaked around 11:45 a.m. at over 40,000 on Down Detector.
As of now, around 12:20 p.m. the reports have nearly halved to around 16,000 reports.
Reports already disappearing on various outage detector sites.
The biggest, Down Detector, is already down to under 1,000 reports.
