And Dont Let Go is the latest library title to benefit from the bigger platform.
As of today (Feb. 18), “Don’t Let Go” ranks in the No.
4 spot in Netflix’s top 10 most-watched list.
That puts it ahead of movies like “Kinda Pregnant” and two “Rambo” movies.
The time-travel thriller could even make a play for the No.
1 spot, though it would need to dethrone rom-com “La Dolce Villa” on the way.
Over on review aggregate siteRotten Tomatoes, theres a pretty substantial 37-point swing between the critics and audience score.
What is Dont Let Go about?
Typically the former group is prone to be harsher, while audiences just want something entertaining.
However, the sizeable gap between scores in this case is pretty notable.
Over onRotten Tomatoes, the flick has a pretty weak 42% from critics.
Naturally, that relatively low score has seen it brandished with a rotten badge.
In contrast, the movies audience score is significantly higher at 79%.
This percentage comes from more than 1,000 ratings so its certainly not an insignificant sample size.
Should you stream Dont Let Go on Netflix?
On this occasion, I have to say, I fall on the more negative side of the field.
The movie also suffers from clearly signposting its big third-act reveal.
At least, David Oyelowo and Storm Reid are compelling enough in their leading roles.
Credit to them for taking some lackluster material and at least salvage some degree of excitement.
Of course, as noted, my opinion doesnt align with many of the movies audience reviews.
