What’s ‘The Magicians’ about?
“The Magicians” is based on a trilogy of fantasy novels by Lev Grossman.
The show stars Jason Ralph as Quentin Coldwater, a graduate student at Brakebills University for Magical Pedagogy.
That’s because Fillory is a real place and the magical world is under grave threat from dark forces.
There’s also Julia (Stella Maeve), who’s a more complicated figure.
But don’t take it just from them.
