Netflixis no stranger to churning out original content.
Almost every week a new original movie or show gets added to the platform.
The Electric State is almost guaranteed to take the No.
1 spot on Netflix, and I wouldnt be surprised if it holds onto it for weeks.
Thats exactly what happened with Back in Action, the streamers last blockbuster that unfortunately suffered from low quality.
What is The Electric State about?
The same cant be said for The Electric State.
But theres just not much here to enjoy.
And thats not a feeling I get often.
One of its strengths is the visually impressive action sequences.
The action, paired with the visual effects, are easily the movies strongest aspects.
But those alone arent enough to make a movie entertaining or meaningful.
That was exactly what I thought as the credits rolled.
And its a real shame.
Should you stream The Electric State on Netflix?
By now, youre probably thinking The Electric State isnt worth watching based on what Ive said.
Just consider this your warning: It doesnt quite live up to expectations.
That being said, now that its streaming, The Electric State will likely hold down the No.
1 spot for a while.
My final verdict is that The Electric State is a miss on Netflix.
This one just felt somewhat emotionless and bland.
Theres simply not enough substance here to rank it on my list of the best movies of 2025.
