At its core, Running Point is an enjoyable, and highly glossy, Netflix comedy.
Plus, Brendan Song is having an absolute ball in her supporting role.
The cast is largely likable making it quite easy to get invested in their personal plights.
Plus, the shorter episodes force the writers to be a little more economical.
This prevents overly stretched-out arcs and filler episodes.
Running Point certainly ranks high on my list of the most pleasant surprises on Netflix in 2025 so far.
It could even become one of my comfort shows.
Its simple and enjoyable and definitely has more than a little bit of Ted Lasso about it.
