This is a very powerful and capable computer.
Up until now, only the Mac Studio had front ports and the Mac mini just had rear ports.
Having an audio jack at the front makes sense for headphones but not for thebest computer speakers.
Fortunately, many monitors come with built-in speakers as does Apples much more expensiveStudio Display.
I set up my review unit with Apples Studio Display first before I added atouchscreen portable monitorunderneath it.
However, this only applies to high 6K or 8K monitors.
Instead, Apple has put the power button on the underside of the Mac mini M4.
Personally, it took me a while but after about a week, Ive gotten used to this change.
It costs $100 to upgrade either models gigabit Ethernet port with a 10 gigabit one though.
Its also one of the best looking Macs yet and takes up even less space on your desk.
