As a committed movie fan, awards season is one of my favorite times of the year.

The2025 Oscarsare shaping up to be a pretty great showcase of fantastic movies.

And these range in genre from a sweeping sci-fi blockbuster to a heartfelt prison drama.

If this Sean Baker-directed drama is indeed victorious, it will be a victory well-earned.

Plus, Yura Borisovs supporting turn is simply wonderful.

To make matters worse Lawrence soon uncovers hidden dark secrets that could shake the foundations of the centuries-old religion.

Doubly so because hes playing a version of himself.

It follows a group of inmates as they put together a stage show.

The chance to become somebody else on stage proves to be therapeutic and offers much-needed hope.

But I also want to give some flowers to Jesse Eisenberg.
