iOS 18.2 is here, and there are plenty ofnew things that you could try on your equipment.

In iOS 18.2 you’re now able to set new default apps for phone calls and messaging.

Launch settings app and select apps to change default apps on your iPhone in iOS 18.2

It’s easier than ever to change those default apps, too.

Before, you had to go into the parameters of each individual app to designate a new default option.

In other regions Europe, specifically Apple may include additional default apps to comply with local regulations.

Tap Default Apps in Apps menu to get to the default apps page where you can change settings

Of the entries above, email, messaging, calling, web app and passwords are pretty self-explanatory.

Keyboard contains any keyboard apps you may have installed on your phone, which is pretty straightforward, too.

Call Filtering covers an apps you use to filter phone calls and identify incoming callers.

How to change your default iPhone apps in iOS 18.2

Go to controls

Launch the controls app,and scroll down the menu to Apps.Tap Apps.

On the ensuing screen, you’ll see thelist of Default Appsthat you’re able to now set.

Manage your Default Apps

Tap the specific app you want to change.

In this example, we’ll change the default web app by tapping web app App.

On the next screen, you’ll see a list of all the available options for your default app.

)Tap the app you want as your defaultto change you options.

And just like that, you’ve got a new default app for whatever function you choose to manage.
