It provides fantastic image quality with the option to control the camera parameters with the companion app.
This detailed streaming webcam produces great image quality, with decent autofocus and automatic exposure capabilities.

Day to day though I use the built-in webcam on my2022 MacBook Airwhich shoots at 1080p.
It also delivered noticeably sharper details, whereas the MacBooks camera had a smoother, more processed look.
I found that the webcam produced good contrast and captured a fairly wide dynamic range.

However, I had no issues with the MX BRIO 705.
Theres no advanced AI business taking place here.
Thats kinda what you want in a webcam, though: plug and play.

This isnt one of thebest mirrorless cameras, after all.
Still, if you did need to adjust options, its nice to know you’re free to.
In that respect the Logitech cam is quite basic.
I tested this out by zooming into the background and it was displayed in crisp, clear detail.
There was no major drop in resolution or sharpness as youd typically expect from digital zoom.
Multipurpose mount
The foldable mount of the Logitech MX BRIO 705 is extremely versatile.
The mount of the C270 doesnt attach easily to thinner screens so took some troubleshooting.
Included with the camera is a UBC-C cable which plugs into the desktop.
Compatibility
The camera is compatible with Zoom, Google Meets and Microsoft Teams.

The MX BRIO 705 is compatible with the Logi Tune and Logitech Sync apps.
The 705 is priced at$199/219direct from Logitech, so it isnt cheap.
That said, as Ive discussed above, it performs well.
Go for something lower resolution like theAnker Power Conf C200.
The 2K resolution is still solid and comparatively dirt cheap at just$59/59.
Heats up
The camera becomes warm to the touch after about 30 minutes of continuous usage.
I also found that the hotter the camera became, the faster my laptop battery was draining.
However I didnt find this to be the case.
That said, the Logitech MX BRIO 705 gives you a lot for your money.
Its a solid 4K camera, and the price isnt anything crazy compared to other 4K options.
If youre constantly on video calls and want top-notch image quality, its definitely worth it.
