Samsung’s Tizen OS is a great emulator for this kind of thing.
Roku has a pretty good base for this.
It already has a well-streamlined platform with its own interesting attention-grabs, namely its Roku City platform.
Now imagine if Roku City was entirely interactive in some capacity?
What if you could control the cars or make them drive faster?
That’s just one small concept Roku could work with in making its platform that much more engaging.
