Past sunset, the image quality holds up, though it does get noisier which is expected.
The square front screen measures 1.5 inches diagonally with 800 nits of brightness.
While small, it’s large enough for framing your shots or quickly changing the camera’s options.

Compared to theGoPro Hero12andHero13 Blackcameras, it’s much easier to read and use in direct sunlight.
Using its companion app, you could display this data to add more context and dynamism to your footage.
In my experience 4K is still plenty of resolution - especially for an action camera.
Lack of new exciting features
The DJI Osmo Action 5 performs exceptionally well.
However, its been a few years since DJI has introducing anything truly revolutionary with the lineup.
One area where DJI could explore is offering GoPro-style lens attachments as seen on theGoPro Hero 13 Black.
But is anyone really buying an action camera with that as a main feature?
Both are great choices, but $249 for last years Action 4 is an exceptional deal.
