We’ve been waiting for the next generation of Apple’s automative interface CarPlay since at leastWWDC 2022.
It was supposed to debut at some point in 2024, but Apple clearlyran out of time.
Apple is still working on CarPlay 2.0 though.
The company told9to5Macthat it’s collaborating with “several automakers” on its next generation interface.
During that reveal it was shown that manufacturers could customize CarPlay to match it to their aesthetics and branding.
Even more information was shown off during adeveloper panel at WWDC 2024.
Apple has confirmed that Acura, Ford, Honda and other manufacturers would support the system.
