A new report from Bloomberg’sMark Gurman claimsa new version of the Apple AirTag is coming in mid-2025.
The report lines up with previous reports that wewouldn’t see a second-generation AirTag until sometime in 2025.
In January, Gurman reported thatApple delayed the refresh due to overproduction of the AirTag.
What’s new?
This hints that the AirTag could get thenext-generation Ultra Wideband chipthat launched with the iPhone 15 lineup.
Previously, Kuo reported that the newAirTag would get Vision Pro integration.
However, withstagnating sales and a reported haltin production, this feature may not come to be.
Allegedly, the built-in speaker will be more complicated to remove as part of an anti-stalking measure.
